Pagefield operates as the integrated corporate communications agency for HS1 Ltd, reporting in directly to the CEO and Commercial Director. We work with HS1 to develop a strategic communications plan to protect and enhance the profile of the nation’s favourite train station in St Pancras International and the UK’s most resilient and reliable railway.
This includes a comprehensive programme of media and stakeholder engagement, delivered across a targeted range of politicians and influencers and the national and trade media. We also provide a 24-hour press office function, handling day-to-day media enquiries as well as providing crisis and issues support, from hands-on management of issues such as Ebola screening and weather-related delays to full scenario planning and participation in crisis simulation exercises.
Our role also includes the development and delivery of creative tactics to promote HS1: in 2015, we secured a partnership with the Evening Standard to deliver and promote a profile event for HS1, staging a panel debate event within the station on the role businesses should play in the debate about EU membership, which was promoted through the Standard and chaired by their Executive Editor. Finally, we have also provided expert guidance and training for media and select committee appearances, through both our in-house and extended Specialist Partner teams.
