Pagefield worked for three years on delivering a wide-ranging service that included everything from naming, branding and narrative shaping to media training, collateral development and film-making. At the end of 2014, we delivered an ambitious global fundraising campaign. Our aim was to raise $900,000 in four short weeks on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, to enable the project to move forward; we raised over $1 million.
With no budget for marketing, the success of the fundraising campaign was driven entirely by the media coverage we secured for the client. Lunar Mission One led the news agenda on the day of the fundraising campaign launch; from the front page of The Daily Telegraph and the BBC website, The Today Programme and BBC news bulletins, to a vast amount of international coverage.
Over 1,800 pieces of coverage in more than 80 countries were secured in all, creating an estimate 6 billion impressions worldwide. We also arranged and guided the client through dozens of local and national radio interviews, as well as national and international television appearances.

By using social media to amplify the public endorsements from influencers such as Professor Stephen Hawking, Professor Brian Cox and Stephen Fry and creating engaging online media content, we reached 66 million unique Twitter accounts and built a highly engaged and zealous online community that continue to promote and protect the project.
