What we are looking for

Pagefield is looking for an exceptional candidate to be part of a fast-growing full-service corporate communications agency, which specialises in public relations, public affairs and digital communications.

We are looking for candidates with first-rate experience of delivering high quality client work within an agency environment, with a growing network of contacts in the media, as well as creative flair and a passion for campaigning.

The ability to think freely, critically and challenge perceived wisdom – on your feet and in writing – is essential.

Our ideal candidate regularly attends networking events to grow their journalist network, as well as making connections that will bring us new business opportunities.

You will have a keen eye for a story alongside the ability to craft client narratives, execute journalist and third-party engagement strategies, and develop creative campaign plans to help clients achieve their objectives.

Our Consultants are crucial to our success – they provide intelligent challenge, and drive forward the delivery of creatively impactful campaigns for our clients, and bring a restlessly entrepreneurial streak to our approach to new business. We are looking for someone who acts as an ambassador for Pagefield, and is always seeking out new opportunities to grow the business.

They sit at the centre of our business, ensuring that we always deliver high-quality work to our clients, whilst mentoring and coaching junior colleagues, and learning from, and supporting senior colleagues with new business proposals and pitches.

Key Responsibilities

Client / Account Management

  • Responsible for delivering and overseeing key elements of client programmes to high standard that aims to exceed client expectations
  • Produce final drafts of client documents and media materials including communications plans, briefing notes, press releases, op-eds, expert commentary, speeches and social media calendars
  • Lead client projects with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate strong account management skills, acting as the Lead running the account on a day-to-day basis to ensure the smooth running of the account and that all tasks are completed to a high standard in good time
  • Manage the work of Senior / Executives and Researchers, where appropriate and enhancing / adding to work produced before presenting to an Account Lead
  • Effective delegation and management within client teams; ensure rigorous oversight of Senior / Executives and Researchers work; reporting back to Account Leads to provide progress on all aspects of account management
  • Assist Account Lead with client strategy and identifying opportunities to grow client accounts and helping to bring creative solutions to issues


In addition, the Consultant is expected to:

  • Deputise for Senior Consultants and Associate Partners where required
  • Encourage and share best practice and ideas; to deliver strong new business performance and excellent client service
  • Ensure accurate record keeping including timesheets and expenses
  • Encourage, mentor and (where requested) line manage Senior / Executives and Researchers to support their development and delivery against objectives
  • Set a good example to junior members of the team demonstrating a positive “can do” attitude
  • Participate in peer group, company and skills training and development events
  • Develop a network of key clients, influencers and stakeholders – industry, political and media actively broadening and deepening internal and external networks; regularly attending marketing and industry events


New Business

  • Seek out, contribute to and drive new business initiatives, developing and following up on ideas and opportunities
  • Identify and generate leads and new business opportunities through a pro-active approach to networking and marketing activity – presenting new business ideas to Senior Consultant / Associate Partner / Partner
  • Active participation in new business development – helping to convert leads, overseeing research; leading and participating in brainstorms; drafting proposals or tenders and actively participating in pitch teams
  • Deepen understanding of the commercial drivers for your clients and the business as a whole
