As reported today in Guido Fawkes, PR Week, and Gorkana, Pagefield, the award-winning communications agency, specialising in reputation management, campaigning and public affairs, has expanded its senior team with the appointment of Liam Parker as Partner. Parker joins Pagefield from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), where he was Special Advisor and Director of Political Communications for the Foreign Secretary, Rt.Hon. Boris Johnson MP.

Parker has been at the FCO since September 2016, where he was responsible for political communications and strategy of the Foreign Secretary, with direct oversight of all communications output from the department.

Prior to his time at the FCO, Parker worked as the Head of Press to Mark Carney, the Governor of the Bank of England (BoE), for two years, following a spell as the Official Spokesperson to the Deputy Governor, Andrew Bailey.

He joined BoE from a role as Chief Press Officer and Official Spokesman for the CEO of the then Financial Services Authority, which he held for two years.

After cutting his teeth at the PR agency Shine Communications, Liam moved to HM Treasury, where he rose to be the Official Spokesperson for the Chief Secretary to the Treasury and Exchequer Secretary.

The appointment of Parker to Pagefield’s Partner team is the latest in a series of senior Pagefield appointments including Dr Gerard Lyons, Debbie Wosskow OBE and Sian Jarvis CB, as Senior Advisors.

Oliver Foster, Pagefield’s Chief Executive said:

“We are delighted to welcome Liam to Pagefield. His experience working for two of the most recognisable and influential figures in the world of politics and finance means he is a strong addition to our senior team and is someone who can deliver unique insight and counsel to our clients.”

Liam Parker said:

“I’m really excited to be joining Pagefield. They’re an excellent, growing agency with an impressive reputation and client roster. It’s a really exciting time for the business as they continue their impressive growth, and I am looking forward to helping to deliver this.”
