In 2024, almost half the people in the world voted in elections, demonstrating the power of democracy in action. But elections are just one part of the democratic process – an informed electorate relies on the journalists, commentators, and independent bodies who uncover the truth, challenge misinformation, and shape public understanding.
In that spirit, we are pleased to announce the Pagefield Awards 2025 – celebrating the individuals who shape our political and media landscape, champion meaningful change, hold power to account, and inform the public debate.
This year, we are bringing together the Pagefield Parliamentarian Awards and the Pagefield Press Awards into a single, flagship event: the Pagefield Awards 2025.
This consolidated celebration – on 18th March – will shine a spotlight on the outstanding achievements of those who drive change, shape public opinion, and elevate our democracy – in Parliament, in the media, and online.
From fearless journalism and impactful campaigning to legislative leadership, the awards will recognise the individuals and organisations that make a real difference to our civic and political life.
I’m also delighted to announce that the evening will be presented by Jonathan Ashworth, Chief Executive of Labour Together.
My thanks also go to Peter Clifton, former Editor-in-Chief of PA Media, for his support in reviewing the nominations from the Pagefield team and narrowing down our long list to the shortlists for each category, each of which are now being judged by our esteemed judging panel, made up of:
