Tom has over nine years’ experience leading challenging campaigning roles in government and the private sector. At Pagefield he works with a variety of clients from new start-ups to large organisations, helping to build brand awareness and protect reputations.
Tom started his career in government where he held several media roles, including leading sensitive reputational areas at HMRC, such as cyber security, digitisation and Brexit. He additionally advised the cross-Whitehall Border Delivery Group and HMRC’s minister, the Financial Secretary to the Treasury.
During the pandemic, Tom acted as the press lead for the government’s self-employment support scheme. Outside government, he previously co-founded a social enterprise, Lockdown Loo, that helped millions locate public conveniences during the pandemic and featured in hundreds of media stories.
Tom also produces The Fast Charge, a leading newsletter about electric vehicles which is read by influencers across the automotive sector, as well as videos that have been viewed more than 10 million times on social media.
