Bringing a digital payments start-up to a UK audience

Challenge

Fintech payments business Pomelo Pay was looking to raise its profile in priority sectors and the fintech business landscape, as well as standing out in an increasingly crowded and competitive payments space.

Approach

To raise awareness of Pomelo, we worked closely with the founder and CEO to develop and execute an extensive PR programme, announcing new products, commercial partnerships and corporate news celebrating Pomelo’s key growth milestones. This included supporting Pomelo through their £2.1 million fundraising announcement in December 2020.

Alongside this, our calendar of activity capitalised on external comment opportunities, drove their LinkedIn and social content, and ensured the company was included in debates around changing the contactless limit.

Results

Working with them to deliver hard-hitting news stories around their products and services, we secured more than 50 pieces of coverage in key tech titles that would be seen by investors and customers alike. Pomelo’s reputation in the UK has grown and their UK customer base increased with it. Their UK profile has also been noticed in their international markets, cementing their position as a payments leader in ASEAN.
